Nikki Blonsky says Zac Efron would “love” to do a Hairspray sequel. Blonsky - who starred alongside John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, Amanda Bynes and High School Musical hunk Efron in the 2007 musical - says she, and a number of other cast members, are keen to reprise their roles.

She reveals, “Zac has said he’d love to do it again, and I know Brittany Snow is down for sure. I don’t know about Amanda. I hope she will. I want to put on my Tracy Turnblad wig again and dance my little heart out.”

Zac Efron says girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens makes him a “better person”.

The 20-year-old heartthrob - who met Vanessa on the set of Disney movie ‘High School Musical’ in 2006 - claims their relationship completes him.

He said: “You can’t describe the feeling of being in love - when you meet someone who makes you a better person.”

Zac and Vanessa - who play basketball star Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez respectively in the hit movie franchise - were voted the Favourite Couple of 2008 last month.

The sweethearts topped the list of the best pairings of the year compiled by FoxNews.com.

A writer for the website explained: “They rode the little-TV-movie-that-could, ‘High School Musical,’ to box office gold and worldwide fame in 2008. And they have perfect teeth. But their love cannot last post-’High School Musical’, as their careers pull them apart, forever.

Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole was named as favourite female celebrity in the poll on website Bebo, closely followed by Harry Potter actress Emma Watson. Rounding out the top five females was British model and presenter Alexa Chung, singer Lily Allen and actress Lindsay Lohan.

Zac Efron wants to meet Johnny Depp and “pick his brain”.
The ‘High School Musical’ star is determined to shed his clean cut image and become known as a serious actor, just like his idol Johnny.

He said: “I would love to just sit down and talk with Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp and pick their brains about their early careers. They do it because they love it, not because they enjoy being famous. You have to have good foresight and be really careful. If you don’t adapt and learn at a very young age, you can really mess up.”

Zac says he will miss working alongside his girlfriend, ‘High School Musical’ co-star Vanessa Hudgens, when he moves on to new career challenges.

He explained: “After three movies together, Vanessa and I feel free to do whatever we want, and we’re just kind of silly and uninhibited. It felt like the best working vacation I’ve ever taken.”

The “High School Musical” star expressed his gratitude to his fans because he got presents from them. He also wished everyone Merry Christmas.

Zac Efron began his message by sending his “quick thank you” to everyone on the fan site, Charismatic. The California-born actor also admitted he got some Christmas presents from his fans. He wrote: “I received some pretty incredible gifts for my birthday and Christmas lol… my family and I have been enjoying the messages. Especially the art smile.”

The “High School Musical” leading star also considered birthday book as “the sweetest present”. He wrote down: “The birthday book is BY FAR the sweetest present I have ever received.” Furthermore, the Hollywood heartthrob also mentioned other gifts, noting, “Nothing has ever made me smile like flipping through letters, drawings, poems, and photographs of the cutest girls I’ve ever seen.” The hunk added, “Your kind words and enthusiasm are truly humbling.”

Zac Efron ended his message by saying thank you and Merry Christmas. He added: “A million thanks, guys,” reasoning, “You brought something very special to my 21st.” The 21-year-old star also added, “Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone.
